Hello,
This is my first post to tomshardware, I came to ask you folks cuz i know there are some real pc geniuses here and a LOT of armchair genuises lol. But the topic and question I have is. I have a asus motherboard with a asmedia xhci 3.0/3.1 host controller that i made sure to go to the motherboard mfg site and update and everything, hell even tried the latest xhci driver off the asmedia site. The performance as far as response with my usb xbox ONE controller while gaming was ok, pretty good. But when I updated to the Asmedia XHCI 1.0 host controller driver along with the Asmedia XHCI 1.1 host controller driver, Don't know I think its for the usb 3.1 port. But when I update to the Asmedia XHCI 1.0 host controller driver the performance was INSTANT! I got the driver off this site that tested gaming input performance and they came to the same conclusion and had a little graph and at the bottom offered a download that installed the usb xhci drivers for ya they tested. It was phenomenal, im not a noob i can update motherboard drivers very well but the asmedia 1.0-1.1 host controller drivers i updated to were are STELLAR. Also whats the best performing usb interface host controller money can buy as far as pcie card host controller, not sure is XHCI is the latest but you get my drift. I know this will generate a lot of debate probably ha and im prepared for that. Thank you for your time and much respect to the tomshardware crowd.
